It's set on 20 acres so there's ample space for the kids to run around, kick a ball, fly a kite, enjoy a pleasant walk, cycle, roller skate, enjoy a picnic... the list is endless. The fantastic nearby children's playground in the Castle grounds is split into sections for toddlers and older children and includes swings, climbing frames, sandplay area, cableway, zip wire, monkey climber and lots more! There are also picnic tables and toilet facilities nearby.
Avoca Food Market and Cafe is in the Castle courtyard and you can sit in or take away a tasty delight to have as a picnic but make sure the peacocks don't take a nibble first! The Avoca retail range is also here including throws and blankets from the Avoca mills, fashion, homewares, gifts, beauty and well-being.
